Gettysburg Retreat

The Good Fight of Faith

Come and experience Gettysburg PA with us!

Dates TBA – next trip being planned for end of September OR  early October 2022

Location:  1863 Inn at Gettysburg

You’re invited to join Pastor Cliff Whitehead, a long time student of the Civil War, as he personally guides you through each day of the monumental Battle of Gettysburg.  This battle was the largest battle ever fought in the western hemisphere and is considered one of the major turning points of the American Civil War.

With a chartered bus for the weekend which leaves from Fellowship Chapel, you will visit many of the prominent sites and monuments on the Gettysburg Battlefield as part of the tour that will give you a good understanding of the events that took place there on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd in 1863.  There will also be time for you to also explore the historic and charming town of Gettysburg on your own.

The purpose of this retreat is to encourage and prepare each person to “fight the good fight of faith” in the spiritual battle we face every day as believers  {2 Timothy 2:3 -4; 1 Timothy 6:12; Ephesians 6:10-18}.   This is accomplished through the telling of the testimonies of believers who fought in this battle, scriptural teachings on spiritual warfare using the Gettysburg Battlefield as an object lesson and times of worship.
